Sony's LTX100G is a
Linear Tape-Open 1(
LTO-1) format tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 609m which enables a native
data storage capacity of
100GB that can be expanded up to
200GB when compressed. It features the use of
Sony's LTO Cartridge Memory (LTO-CM) to reach higher access speeds and quicker cartridge access in a library environment. The
Sony LTX100G tape cartridge can store important data for up to 30 years.
